Zebra in Makgadikgadi National Park

Friday, August 31st, 2012

Our last stop through Botswan was the Magkadikgadi National Park and, although it has been hit quite hard by poachers, it is still an amzing place to visit.  We did not see any predators or Rhino in the park but we did see hundreds of Zebra as they flocked down to drink from the now permanent river which formed in 2008.  I have no idea why it suddenly appeared in this otherwise baron landscape of dust and thorn trees but it has formed an oasis for the animals to get what they need.  Water.  I managed to sneak out of my car and get down low as the Zebra lapped up the river water.

Black Backed Jackal

We came across these Jackals while driving through the Makgadikgadi National Park in Botswana.  The morning light was perfect so we spent quite some time watching them scuffle over some old Zebra bones.

Zebra of Etosha Pan National Park

Wednesday, April 29th, 2009

If you wanna see a lot of Zebra out in the open then, Etosha Pan National Park is the place for you.  They’re everywhere!  If you wait for the right light, either early mornings or late afternoons are always best, you are certain to get some good shots of them interacting with one another.  I shot these on a recent trip to Namibia and was up at the crack of dawn to capture that ‘perfect’ light!

Lions on the Prowl

Tuesday, April 28th, 2009

I spotted these 2 Lions in the ‘Etosha Pan National Park’, they were lazing under a tree for quite some time before they came out and let me get some shots of them.  They seemed to be playing ‘cat and mouse’ with the Zebra which was strange cause it looked as though they had a ‘kill’ under the tree where they were resting.

Some Random Wildlife

Friday, January 23rd, 2009

Just been goin through my hard-drive and found some wildlife pictures I shot a while back.  There’s something soo cool about wildlife photography…  I love the innocence of animals out in nature, just doing what they do!  Looking back at images you take and experiencing that innocence must be one of the best feelings in the world!  This is my secret little passion, enjoy!
