Leaves in the Fall

Thursday, December 3rd, 2009

I shot these pictures in Grass Valley California in October, just as the seasons are changing and the trees are loosing their leaves.  I really love the colors in the Fall, it’s dreamy!

San Francisco Sun Down

Tuesday, December 1st, 2009

I can’t remember which street in San Francisco I was on when I shot this picture.  It might have been Bush Street, but who knows and who cares really!?  I liked the sunset and the ‘Yellow’ cab in the foreground.

Obama in San Francisco

Tuesday, November 17th, 2009

Barack Obama was recently in San Francisco for one of his dinner ‘fund raiser’ things.  There were a lot of angry people out front of the hotel, holding up some offensive banners and getting in arguments with other people that had different views to theirs.  We stood around the other side of the hotel where the more ‘mellow’ people were standing, in hope of a glimpse of the president.  I didn’t get to see him, well, not until later on that is.  It just so happened that he was leaving the hotel as I was walking back down this way later that evening and I got a glimpse of him driving by in his limo, followed by many cops on bikes and in cars, it was really something to see.  This picture is of one of the banners that were being held up out front of the hotel.  I got the feeling they didn’t like Barack Obama too much.  I shot this with my Contax G1 film camera.

San Francisco Hydrant.

I haven’t used this blog thing in a long while.  I went on a trip to San Francisco and just haven’t had time to add any pictures.  I shot this picture while walking down Bush St with my friend James.  I liked it.

Train Spotting

Thursday, March 12th, 2009

Life in the underground of San Francisco consists of the Bart which will take you to the airport, across the bay, or to a friends neighborhood.  It also consists of Muni which runs underground and then spreads into the suburbs and runs like a tram on the streets.  This is Bart shooting past me at one of the many San Francisco stations.

Truckee California

Wednesday, February 18th, 2009

We have some wonderful friends that live in Truckee, California, they let us stay at their house when we go up there.  In January of 2008, we heard of a big snow storm that was making it’s way there so, we planned a trip up there for the weekend to go snowboarding.  The snow started falling while we were on the freeway, winding our way through the mountain passes and by the time we got up there, we got word that they had actually closed the freeways due to the heavy snow fall!  I have never seen this much snow in my life!  I think it snowed a totaly of 7 feet in just that weekend!  Incredible!  Needless to say, the snowbaording was amazing!  I love Truckee and cant wait to go there again someday!  Thanks to John Bieble and Sarah Poynter for making it possible!

1 Year Ago Today…

Tuesday, February 3rd, 2009

It’s been exactly 1 year ago to this day that I walked out onto the Golden Gate Bridge with Sarah and proposed to her…  It was rainy on the day and I was worried we would get soaked and the mood wouldn’t be exactly how I wanted it to be!  Typical of San Francisco weather, the rain cleared for just long enough so that I could pop the big old question, get off the bridge and meet some freinds for a little celebration!  Golden Gate Bridge will always be special to Sarah and I.  Here are some pictures I thought I would upload in honor of that day!
